Welcome to the Kaia Beauty Ltd website (www.kaiabeauty.co.uk). The following terms and conditions govern your use of this website and your booking of our home-beauty services.
These terms constitute a legal agreement between you (the “Client”) and Kaia Beauty Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our” or “Kaia Beauty”), registered in England and Wales. Please read this agreement carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this website or book our services.
Website Ownership
This website and all content on it — including text, images, logos, graphics and its overall design — is owned by, or licensed to, Kaia Beauty Ltd and is protected by UK copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use only. The “Kaia Beauty” name and logo may not be used without our permission. While we take reasonable care to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
Definitions
“Artist” – the makeup artist, mehndi artist, nail technician, facialist or other beauty professional carrying out the Service on behalf of the Company.
“Client” – the person booking or receiving the Service.
“Service” – the home-beauty services carried out on behalf of the Company, including bridal and party makeup, mehndi (henna), nails, facials, threading and waxing.
“Appointment” – the visit to the Client's chosen address by the Artist in order to carry out the Service.
Contract
These Terms and Conditions represent a contract between Kaia Beauty Ltd and the Client. Booking an Appointment by telephone, WhatsApp, email or through our booking link constitutes the Client's acceptance of these Terms. Unless agreed in writing by a director of the Company, these Terms prevail over any other terms put forward by the Client, and no variation is valid unless approved in writing by the Company.
Our Services
Bridal & party makeup
We provide full bridal makeup, guest and party makeup in the comfort of your home. Bridal bookings include a backup artist on standby so that no bride is ever left without her look. The exact look is agreed with the Client in advance, and for weddings we strongly recommend a trial (see below).
Mehndi (henna)
We provide bridal and party mehndi using natural henna. Henna develops over several hours and final colour varies between individuals; depth and longevity of stain cannot be guaranteed as they depend on skin type, aftercare and body chemistry. We do not use “black henna” or any product containing PPD.
Nails
We offer gel manicures and nail art at home. Longevity of gel and applied nails depends on nail condition and aftercare and cannot be guaranteed.
Facials, threading & waxing
We provide facials and precise threading and waxing. These services are cosmetic and are not a substitute for medical or dermatological advice.
Bookings & Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure an Appointment, with the balance payable as confirmed at the time of booking. The date, time, services and full price are confirmed with the Client in writing (by WhatsApp, email or our booking system) before the Appointment. For weddings and multi-service or multi-day bookings, a booking is only secured once the deposit has been received.
Patch Tests, Allergies & Skin Sensitivity
Some products — including henna, adhesives, waxes and certain cosmetics — can cause reactions in sensitive individuals. The Client must inform us of any known allergies, skin conditions, recent treatments or medications before the Appointment. Where a patch test is recommended (in particular for henna, waxing and lash/adhesive services), it is the Client's responsibility to arrange it with us at least 48 hours in advance. The Company is not liable for reactions where the Client has not disclosed a relevant condition or has declined a recommended patch test.
Bridal Trials
For bridal makeup we recommend a trial before the wedding date so the look can be agreed in advance. Trials are booked and charged separately from the wedding-day Service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Pricing & Payment
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£). The price for your Appointment is confirmed in writing before it takes place and will not change once confirmed. Prices for bookings that fall on or around peak dates (for example wedding season and festival periods) may differ and will always be confirmed in advance. We may revise our general pricing from time to time, but any change applies only to bookings made after it takes effect. Where travel outside our standard area is required, a travel charge may apply and will be confirmed before booking.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
The Client may reschedule or cancel an Appointment free of charge (other than the non-refundable deposit) with at least 48 hours' notice. Where less than 48 hours' notice is given, a charge of 50% of the booking price may apply. For bridal and multi-day bookings, which are reserved well in advance and difficult to re-book at short notice, longer notice periods apply and will be confirmed at the time of booking. In the unlikely event that we must cancel, we will offer a suitable alternative artist (bridal bookings carry a backup artist as standard) or a full refund of any sums paid, including the deposit.
Access, Timing & the Appointment
The Client is responsible for providing a suitable space with access to a plug socket and reasonable lighting. Please be ready at the agreed start time; significant lateness or lack of access may reduce the time available and, for time-critical events, may affect the services that can be completed. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our control.
Lady Artists & Languages
Lady artists are available on request for comfort and privacy — please let us know when booking. Our artists speak Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi as well as English.
Photography & Marketing
We may ask to photograph completed looks for our portfolio and social media. We will only do so with the Client's consent, and consent can be declined or withdrawn at any time before the images are published.
Liability
We carry appropriate insurance and our artists are vetted and right-to-work checked. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with a Service is limited to the price paid for that Service. We are not liable for reactions or outcomes arising from undisclosed allergies or conditions, declined patch tests, or the Client's failure to follow reasonable aftercare advice.
Complaints
If you are not completely happy, please contact us within 48 hours of your Appointment so we can put things right wherever possible.
Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data-protection law.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
